On-Track 4 Employment Newsletter

Welcome to On-Track 4 Employment’s First Newsletter!

On-Track 4 Employment is designed to serve people in our local community who are unemployed or underemployed. Through partnering with local churches and the community, UpWorks equips and connects participants to career-based employment opportunities. Participants are given an 8-week work readiness training in order to prepare them for careers.

On May 28th, On-Track 4 Employment completed its first cohort with three graduated participants! Two of the graduates are employed and one graduate is enrolled in Barber College.

One of our graduates, Sean, shared his testimony on how he was able to apply the information from the training immediately,

“Emotional intelligence was the most important component for me because I have anger issues and this training provided the necessary tools for me to deal with conflict at the workplace. I was able to apply these principles immediately on day one”, said Sean.

For this upcoming summer, we launched our On-Track 4 Employment/Empowering Adults campaign. Our strategy is to engage community members to empower and assist in development of participants as they seek to further their education or pursue career employment opportunities. Our strategy is to engage 15 churches and recruit 20 Life Advocates by the end of the summer on August 29!

On-Track 4 Employment and Empowering Adults are working together to have maximum impact as we serve our Twin Cities’ residents. Pray for us as we seek to develop individuals by encouraging them to serve in their local community.

Our next On-Track 4 Employment cohort is expected to start in October of this year. Please partner with us by becoming a Life Advocate or referring businesses, non-profits or potential participants to our program.
